In DrugBank, a drug product is the representation of the final commercial preparation. It is a combination of active ingredients, salt forms, and inactive ingredients. Each drug product specifies the active ingredients, the formulation strength of each ingredient, the dosage form, and the route of administration. Every drug product is associated with a code from a regulatory body such as an NDC code.
